Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat made the announcement after the Inter-Company Job Pressure on Rising Infectious Illnesses (IATF-EID) authorised on Thursday (July 23) the Division of Tourism (DOT) advice to elevate the ban on vacationers beneath 21 and above 60 on Boracay island.
After three months of group quarantine, Boracay Island reopened its doorways to vacationers from Western Visayas aged 21 to 60 final June 16.
Puyat stated the lifting of the ban on youthful and older vacationers will apply solely to residents of Western Visayas as earlier dominated by provincial and native authorities leaders of the area and the Boracay Inter-Company Job Pressure (BIATF).
